New Orleans – Russell P. Redford Jr., one of the industry's leading golf executives and a force behind some of the most successful golf properties in the South, announced today that his Redford Golf Group, LLC will partner with the Audubon Nature Institute to provide strategic planning and marketing consultation for the Audubon Golf Club.
Redford Golf Group (http://www.redfordgolfgroup.com) will be responsible for working with the institute's executive team to elevate the level of quality for the Audubon Nature Institute's recently renovated golf property, Redford said, with the goal of developing it into one of the most service and operationally efficient golf facilities in the Southeast.
"The Audubon Nature Institute (www.auduboninstitute.org) should be applauded by all Louisianans for their commitment to preserving the state's rich history and cultural traditions," said Redford. "We are delighted to be working on this important initiative. Our focus will be to build on the institute's great heritage by creating new concepts and developing golf programs and processes that will enhance the course’s operations and revenues."
Redford said plans call for development of a long-range strategic operating plan, coordinating and implementation of advertising, sales and marketing plan, and the creation and implementation of a player development program.
"Our overall goal will be to create a team-based relationship that will continue to build on the operational framework, programs and systems that have created what the Audubon Golf Club is today. We will strive to increase market share, provide measurable business data and accomplish the institute's financial objectives," he explained.
Dale Stastny, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at the institute, said that Redford Golf Group embodies the personal and professional beliefs that are consistent with the institute's. "We felt at this time and place it would be a great opportunity for us to collaborate," Stastny said. "As far as reputation, overall breadth of experience, innovation, vision and the proven ability to add tremendous value, the Redford Golf Group is the perfect fit," said Stastny. "We’re confident that at the end of the day, Russell and his team will work with us to develop a strategic management direction needed to provide New Orleans and Louisiana with one of the premier golf properties in the nation in terms of drawing power, competitive standing – and profitability."
Redford, the former Chief Operating Officer for the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail, launched his consulting company in January of 2005 for the primary purpose of creating a corporate identity that would accurately reflect his professional values and beliefs. Establishing a specialized consulting venue was the perfect platform to utilize his extensive development, management and operational background and position the Redford Golf Group to take advantage of existing and newly emerging industry opportunities and build upon the professional relationships and alliances that he has cultivated over the years.
